So – time flies! The Holidays are just around the corner and the past few months seem a bit of a blur! Basically, uni has been taking up all of my time during the day, loads of work, loads of little things to do, etc. I always forget how crazy it can get term time, but I really love it and am really happy with my projects!

Thankfully uni has slowed down a lot in the past week so I have started to fit in a lot of fun stuff like dinners with friends, a little Winter Wonderland action and a few exhibitions.

Though it’s freezing again now you should definitely go for a quick bout in Winter Wonderland if you’ve got a good group of friends and family to come enjoy the festivities. The entrance of the park (well, the whole park, actually) is laden with food and drink stalls which are a great place to start so you can get warmed up and ready for the rest of the park without freezing. I definitely recommend the mulled wine stall, as alcohol is a necessity to keep warm! There is also a great hot dog stand, which is pretty delish, and another stall further down that does Jamon Serrano – Spanish ham that is to die for, and one of my favs. If you can, pre-book a slot on the ice skating rink! It will warm you up and fill you and your company with lots of laughs and good memories. All in all a fun time with lots of trinkets to buy, like jewelry and hand-blown Christmas ornaments to name a few; and lots of rides to satisfy both adults and kiddies. Just remember to dress warmly, bring cash, and you’ll have a ball!

Early on in the week I was able to go and view the new Gauguin exhibit at the Tate Modern with some friends. Though I am definitely a pre-Raphaelite girl myself, I always enjoy viewing artist’s work that I may not necessarily be drawn to, mainly for colour and shape reasons, which is very inspirational to me in the uni work that I do. All in all, it was a large exhibit with many pieces to view, including sculptural works and woodcarvings he completed during his lifetime as well. If you enjoy modern art, or are simply an art gallery enthusiast, make sure to check this one out.

Wit Christmas just around the corner, there is now plenty of shopping that needs to be done and I am just the girl to do it! Though the crowds are always a bit off putting, I have found Sunday is a really good day to go around the city gift searching. But hands down I would have to say Westfield’s is the easiest and best store selection to get all of the gifts done, so I am sure I will be spending lots of time there – though a quick glance at the stalls in Spitalfield Market or Portobello always prove to be fruitful.

Well hope you all have a lovely week! No matter how you spend your time, enjoy curling up in out of the cold as much as you can – it’s one of my favorite past times of this season: good friends, good food and wine – and a blanket! More soon!

Love,

Last week I had a bit of a family situation, which surprised me and sort of took it out of me, so I went AWOL. Again!! Everything is much better now and of course I am much better. The post below is what I jotted down before all the family craziness happend…!

I have loved the sunny weather again the last few days! Thank god, it’s putting everyone in a better mood, including me. Now, if we can just do something about the sun coming up at 5 a.m., followed by the very loud and determined chirps from the birds – then we would all be well slept AND be able to enjoy the good weather!
Though I have been very busy with my course , I have been fortunate to find some time to play, as innocent as it may be. ☺ I went to see The Ghost which is about a ghost writer, writing an autobiography for an ex-Priminister. Pretty good, though the bad English accent killed me every time! (aka Samantha from Sex and the City) We went to an adorable picture house, call the Everyman Theatre, it was really cute, small, intimate viewing room with wonderful Gummy Bears! Lots and lots of fun.
But now that the weather is finally starting to cooperate, and I have a few friends coming in town, I am starting to get the summer itch. ☺ All I want to do is lay in the park and read a fabulous book or walk around a market eating some delicious, cold gelato. And, the summer trip plans/invites are starting to take place! The Almalfi Coast, anyone?? Yes please!, I said to one friend, so we shall see. ☺ But how is this volcano still going?! More flights cancelled and my friend was stuck in a neighboring country yesterday. Well, just as long as it doesn’t interfere with too many holiday plans ☺
I recently procured the most amazing, entertaining book ever: The Birthday Book. It has within it not only the horoscopes of each month, but the specific horoscopes for each day of the year! My friends and I have had soo much fun reading through it and giggling at its character descriptions that so closely mirror our personalities. So much fun, for us it was a good laugh.
Hurray! My course will be done in 4 weeks and then I can really start to get back into enjoying the season: running in the park, lounging through picnics with friends, the cinema, a good club night…aww, the list goes on. Though I love uni for it’s creative outlet and structure, there is something about the 3rd term that makes you so anxious for a break that it is unavoidable! ☺ No matter, my projects are going great and I am producing a lot of work that I will be able to add to my growing portfolio. And soon I will have to start thinking of a theme for my final year! Hmmm, I wonder what it will be… ☺
Lots of love, enjoy your week and the sun! – Chloe x x x

Soo, you know when someone asks you to help them move, you always think, sure! Of course! (I don’t know about you, but I love a good move ☺) And then you get there with your eager hands and there is always so much more to do than you anticipated?! Suddenly you’re also responsible for carrying things a certain way, packing them perfectly…??? Ugh…that was my Saturday. Of course I am thinking the whole time, I am sure they will do this for me the next time I move…here’s hoping. ☺

Otherwise, the weather has been crap again, raining all weekend long – and cold too! Oh no, I thought summer was coming…
Watched Avatar at home last night after buying a copy, and wow! I really love the effects, it is such a beautiful movie, of course and entertaining story too, but from a design perspective it’s great. Very very long though…☺
Today I hope to make it to the Grace Kelly exhibit at the V & A. I have been dying to go and so, I have decided that today is the day! Rain or shine! Will let you all know how it goes , she was such a fascinating women.

And now that I may be going back to Italy to do some work later this summer I really need to focus on learning the language. I ordered Rosetta Stone and it works really well, it’s just finding the time and focus at the end of a long day…so cross your fingers I do it! ☺ I only have two months before my little jaunt.

My friend is redoing their home at the moment, and what a nightmare! All of these stories about ordering wooden panels for the hallway and living room, renting table saws, sanding down the walls (which can ONLY be done during the week)…at first I was really excited for them and thought, wow, how much fun! But oh the stresses that have come from this…some of the stories are disastrous…and make you think twice about the fun, infinite possibilities of changing a home. Anyway, my best wishes to them! And any of you who are also experiencing the same stresses.

I am soooo excited because tonight I am meeting up with an old group of friends for one of my favorite Italian meals in London! Hope you all had a great bank holiday!!!

Love Chloe x x x

Hi there, soooo I’m sorry for being so flakey lately, I haven’t been around so emails, texts and answer phone messages have been left unanswered… Please keep on at me! After the bank holiday I will be MUCH more organized, for how long for, that I cant guarantee!

This week has been so much fun, filled with lots of time with friends and slowly sorting/ organizing my life out! And especially since the sun has been out, it has been even better!

We tried a lot of new places for food, some really great and some pretty bad. For starters, there is a lovely French restaurant called Café Angelus that has an amazing wine list and delicious menu! For apps we had foie gras with a poppy seed crème brulee – yum! And then an amazing pheasant with lots of fresh veg, totally recommend it!

Then some of us went for a new Mexican place that was gross gross gross! It looked fun at first, especially for all of the gimmicky sombreros that hang on the chairs but we had all had much better Mexican before, what a shame. Though, a good margarita always seems to smooth over an glitches.

Otherwise, it’s jogging weather again and I have loved getting out in the park and enjoying the sights of everyone relaxing, having picnics and walking their dogs. The weather is soo good in the summer that you almost completely forget what it is like in the winter, and you think, how could I have ever thought the weather was bad here?!
Uni has started again too which I am really excited about. We are doing some cool projects and the dork in me can’t wait to spend some good time in the library doing some research. However, this term we are doing a group project and I just know there will be some who won’t pull their weight, but it’s cool as long as it all gets done….. More sleepless nights ahead I think.

More soon, enjoy the good weather everyone! – Chloe x x x

I am really excited to start blogging on a regular basis – I know, I’ve been saying this forever, right? – but I am really excited to keep this blog going and being able to share snippets of my life with all of you.

I am also planning on updating some of my pics soon too, so stay tuned!

As you all know, my life is full of work and play, and this past week was no exception. Recently I was in Florence with some friends and it was wonderful! I saw everything there is to see: museums, the Dome, the Medici palaces, Boboli Gardens…and had all the gelato I could eat! The food was amazing and the people very nice, I really hope to go back soon.
Otherwise it’s back to work as usual ☺. Recently I’ve had an amazing work placement with a graphics designer and I am learning more and more about creating different advertisements, layouts, etc, really cool stuff.

In the evenings I have been keeping to myself, reading, doing as little as possible as I am crazy at work. I’ve just started reading a book that a close friend gave to me, called The Alchemist. It is an easy, fun read about how coincidences in life are purposeful hints to greater paths. I am also reading another book - I have the worst habit of reading more than one book at a time – called The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay by Michael Chabon, which is really funny and takes place in New York, the next place I want to visit!

And then of course I am back on my gym schedule. A friend of mine let me in on a few secrets and I have really noticed the difference. It takes me half the time to work out now, which is great because I don’t really love it anyway – come on, who does? Its just keeping up the motivation going. ☺

I hope you all have had a lovely Easter? I definitely did. Easter is always such a great time with my family and seeing my little cousins, wow did they get Easter Eggs or what… And of course sitting around all day eating chocolate and watching movies was great, just being lazy!

So, that’s been my week!
Love Chloe x

Hmmmm so I think I should REALLY REALLY update this blog and I don’t know, maybe keep it going. Regularly. So a lot has happened in the past year to me. I have been extremely busy finishing my studies, getting a job and now working full time. So I have been pretty bad to get hold of, near impossible! And as you can see this site hasn’t been updated in a year! So plan is to update big time, new text and new pictures (which I hate having done so much! I haven’t changed much really, maybe slimmer and more of a darker brunette, so on the whole I have improved with age!).

Also a big factor in sorting my site out is, in a review on Punternet, it suggests that my site misleads… so I think this is to do with my age on the site as I cant be 20 year after year, and that I am studying. Also just to vent here, a report was posted about me, not horrible but definitely not nice and certainly NOT TRUE as when this supposed meeting took place I was still at WORK! So to clear up a few things I AM NOT larger then my pictures and my flat is NOT MESSY! It’s lived in, my home.

I want to say a big thank you to all the amazing people I have meet in this past year. You have been a great support; you have been fun, chilled me out when I was stressed and all over the place running late from work and answered the door to you wet in a towel! When I needed advice or just a good laugh, it’s been fun and I hope in 2010 I see more of you brilliant guys. But please remember, bear with me, I never answer my phone or pick up phone messages because I am only doing this part time. Yes I am a pain but I hope you will stick with me…!

Love an annoyed and equally grateful.

Hi there, so yes I know this has been a very long time coming, but finally I have gotten around to actually writing a blog….

I think this blog is going to be difficult to write because I am going to find it hard not to reveal too much about myself and my life, as I am such an open person! But I will give you a little insight to the type of person I am, things that I like to do and enjoy, what I get up to when I’m not studying, my thoughts, moods… etc etc etc.

The reason why I have only just got myself into gear to write this first entry of my blog is because I have been extremely busy with my studies and a part time job that I have ( its rubbish, but keeps me sane!). So I suppose you know a little about me already which I have already written in the website (which is all true of course, and those of you that have met me, will know that!).

Well recently I haven’t been leading a very exciting life (well I don’t normally, actually) but I am pretty damn excited about leaving education and getting my exams out the way! I have been working on my projects pretty solidly throughout Easter to now (with breaks and distractions every now and again!). Unfortunately it is the worst time to be graduating as there are actually no jobs around in my chosen career path, but I’m hoping….! I am just looking forward to the summer time, the gorgeous sunshine, warm weather and wearing a little less! I hope it’s not the typical British summer, rain, floods, every other weather type but sun, so I am being very optimistic and positive. No holidays planned, so looks like I will be sticking around London whatever the weather….

I know short and not interesting at all…

Until next time

Love a sleepy Chloe x
